Interesting. I have been fighting with tinnitus for several years, and it really flared up after my second daughter was born. I was told that happens in women. End of story. I tried to cut out caffine, which didn't help, and went to a special tinnitus treatment program, but was told I wasn't "bad" enough for them to help. I noticed that the "violins in my head" got louder when I had my afternoon Diet Pepsi and attributed it to the extra caffine in the day. Not until it started happening when I would drink my water with the flavor packets in it (that of course have aspartame) did I think there was a different connection. After my second child, in the attempt to keep weight off, I started using Sweet N Low in my coffee instead of sugar. And of course always pick the diet version of a drink. Looks like I need to wipe out the artificial sweetner and see if that helps!! Thanks for the info!!

I had the same experience. I used to get migraines; cut out Diet Coke, and the migraines became extremely less frequent. I had one last year, an optical migraine, and afterwards developed tinnitus. Doctors were useless. I eased up some; then I started drinking Crystal Light to drop some weight I had gained drinking regular Coke. The tinnitus came back with a vengeance. Am going to quit the Crystal Light!

Love your V-8 post, informative, easy to read and understand (has a good beat and you can dance to it! opps, thats American Bandstand) Thank You for your post.
Today,3-27 2010 I bought V8 Vegetable juice "V.LITE"! Compared to Low Sodium V8 Vegetable juice it has twice the sodium, and only 60% Vegetable juice instead of 100%, with the same price. Good for profits, not for consumers!
Have a healthy and wonderfull day, Curtis

I have started drinking green smoothies which are about 70% fruit of choice and 30% dark green veggies mixed in a high powered blender like a Kitchenaid, Blendtec or Vitamix blender. You can get up to 15 servings of fresh veggies a day in one pitcher that you can drink throughout the day. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks and have really noticed some great benefits. I have had a skin condition around my upper thighs for my whole life that has never gone away. It looks like flat pimples or red dots with some mild white heads all over but within the first 10 days of doing the green smoothie thing it has disappeared by about 95% and I'm assuming within the next week or so will be completely gone. This in its self is amazing to me. I highly recommend going to www.greensmoothiegirl.com and reading this wonderful lady's information if you want to learn more. I stumbled onto her stuff while researching blenders and that is how I got started. I love it and highly recommend trying it. Just add one or more smoothies to your diet a day for 2 weeks and if you like it you can slowly drop the bad stuff from your diet.

Thank you for this--very informative. I knew it was too good to be true. Still, like you have said, it's better than other drinks out there, so I may continue to drink it because it's sweet and tasty.

J.D. - You're absolutely right man. Resveratrol, the actual compound, shouldn't get caught in the middle of this battle.. but there are certainly different types of marketers out there, using tactics I've never seen before.. and certainly border on being unethical.

If these supplement companies could just shape up a bit, and provide a better product, most people probably wouldn't mind the monthly charges.. if it worked really well. There's just so many ways that it needs to be fixed up, to become ethical again.

Thanks for that information. After recently starting gym I made many alterations to my diet to complement my progress. Unfortunately like a lot of people I naively jumped at the advertising on the product and added V8 juice to my daily diet. I probably drink 4-5 standard glasses of it a day mainly because I love the taste but also to increase my intake of previously lacking nutrients. I'll happily keep drinking it but am glad I now know its not a magic elixir. Thanks again.
